As I mentioned the other day I have been sent a couple of emails recently, asking me to take part in different fashion related competitions, and seriously why not, if I'm given the chance to share my style and possibly win money/clothes, then I might as well do it, because also, I love shoes, and shoes is all this blog post is about!

Remember my other post about my shoes, well that collection is slowly expanding, however it's not big enough, as I don't really have enough practical shoes and as it's getting colder and wetter, I probably need more boots, yay boots, it has been scientifically proven that boots are sexy, no I'm kidding, but I think it's true anyway. Because well erm, I have no proof, but it's my word and i have a psychology A-level, therefore boots are sexy, yes, do we all agree? I hope so!

Anyway...

So here are some of the lovely shoes I would want to buy should I win (and that's how you enter, by displaying the yummy shoes you would buy, what a great competition!).

1. Danger; for anyone who is watching x-factor this year (the English version) do you remember Rylan's waistcoat thing, with the spikes, well these shoes are the much nicer far classier version. But imagine kicking someone or falling over while out (and in Southport falling over is likely, stupid pavements), therefore danger.

 

2. What can i say; sex-on-wheels, biker boots, yeah, sexyiness all over, when a guy has a motorbike at least for me, it makes them that little bit sexier, and to go on the back of their awesome motorbike you need some sexy biker boots, so it all makes sense right?

 

3. Oxford; my best friend is attending Oxford University and she likes her brogues, so yeah. Plus I need some new brogues, because mine broke, how sad, I know, I'm welling up!

 

4. Office; if I ever worked in an office, these would be my staple shoes, because they are smart, but still classy and exciting, plus I have a skirt with the same pattern!

 

5. Blood-Ballet, it's weird I know, but if ballerinas didn't wear ballet shoes, these should be the shoes the evil woman of the ballet would wear and I need them because they are pretty, although not very practical for winter, but ah well!

 

6. Sweetie; just the colour, makes me think of a sweet, especially candy canes, and Christmas isn't too far away, so it all makes sense!

 

It is ridiculous that I don't actually have a reasonable amount of practical shoes in relation to how many pairs I actually have, so I kind of need to win, so that, well, erm, I don't get frostbite and lose my toes, because how would I dance around my bedroom without my toes, or wear peep toe shoes, ahhh, I need some of them too!

If you follow me on twitter or my new instagram account you will have seen this photo or something similar because I love my Mum's Pumpkin pie, out of one pumpkin we got 4 pies, so I'm getting rather fat off pumpkin pie, which is bad because I won't be able to fit in my new dresses, once the pie is gone I just won't eat for a few days, good plan, huh?

While helping my sister find some prom dress ideas (yes, her prom isn't for about 9 months, but to be fair I started looking about a year and a half early), we were looking on ASOS and I can across this dress!

So simple but sophisticated.

And guess how much it is?

How good is that, down from £14.99 and it's Mango, although I couldn't find it on the actual Mango website, but I'm not arguing, I'll just check the label when it arrives.

Oh yeah, did I mention, I've ordered, because who wouldn't, it's a bargain and it's lovely. Plus I don't think I have enough dresses, which I'm sure some people wouldn't agree with, but that's what I tell myself.

Ladies Ladies Ladies, I have a new phone!

It is so blooming sexy!

For the past two years I had a blackberry, at first it was a nice purple one that I was completely in love with, however that broke, so I had to have my Mum's black one for the remainder of my contract. However I was eligible for an upgrade as of, I don't know, but my Dad called up and they said I was so, yeah, I could get a new phone.

And guess what I got?

An Iphone 4!!!

Fine, it's no Iphone 5, but I think my lovely phone is pretty damn sexy!

I'm actually depressed that there are so many finger prints on the screen already, they should have given me a wipe to clean it, but then I'd be cleaning it constantly!

My life is practically going to be on this phone, I already have my facebook, twitter, blogger account, youtube account, pinterest accound, etsy account and urban outfitters account set up on my phone. As well as 2 email addresses, 635 contacts (I think it added everyone from my facebook, well it must have because I only had 158 before that). And I've already added reminders, one pretty important one for the dentist. The only thing I am lacking now is music, but I can't add my music until my laptop gets a new battery, so for now I'll just need to use my ipod, but I'll carry on using my ipod anyway, but I love my ipod, so you know.

Also, also, also, 

I have also downloaded Instagram, so soon there will be a little icon on my sidebar with a link to my profile, fine, I've only got 3 photos so far, but I've only had it for a day, I'll start adding more soon!

I'm so extremely excited that I have this phone, that I just haven't stopped playing on it!

When we started the foundation course we all knew it was going to be stressful, but as we got closer and closer to our deadline we started to understand how hard we have to work, how often we have to work and how stressful this course was going to be. And for all of you who don't do an art course of any sort, I shall tell how hard we have to work, how often we have to work and how stressful it is.

It is very hard work, we have to work constantly, and it is the most stressed you could possibly be at 18/19.

So Thursday, maybe not too surprisingly, was one of the most stressful days I have experienced in a while. Our entire project had to be handed in by 11AM. This may not seem stressful, but when you understand what we came from to how it is now, it's ridiculous, at A-level, we had 5 months to create each project, for this project we had 5 weeks...5 weeks to produce as much work as we would for our 5 month long project, none of us were quite ready for that. But now that we've completed the first project it can only get easier, right?

The project was called 'Inside Out' so I decided to look at light sources and this was my final outcome: 

Although the overall quality could have been better, I am really really proud of what I did! 

And I got to use my favourite piece of equipment; the Heat Press!

That was my first ever attempt at free hand embroidery on a sewing machine, and I think the light bulb is pretty damn good if I do say so myself! And I got to use my cute little embroidery ring, yay.

And I already know what I want to do for my next Project, oh I'm so organised!

That's right, today I am starting a new job. 

I am so so so very grateful for this job, when I got the call I was practically squealing down the phone.

I had my interview on the 10th October, after I'd finished at college for the day, honestly I was quite nervous, but once I sat down in the office, I felt a lot better as I started chatting with the assistant manager.

So would you like to know where I'm working?

Oh yes, I am now a sales assistant at Primark!

I'm contracted for a minimum of 4 hours on a Saturday, which makes me about £20 a week, which I know isn't much, especially when I'm trying to save for university, but it's something and hopefully as it gets closer to Christmas I'll get more hours. *fingers crossed*

Today is the training day so that's 9-6, woo, full days work!

So as this is being posted while I'm working, I'll make sure to do another post about how it all goes!

Now I don't usually post twice in one day...buuuutt, I've been a bad blogger lately, so why not?

Also this is a lovely link-up that I haven't taken part in in quite a while, so I'm going to try and resume my habit of being part of it.

Dear Cold but Sunny Weather, I LOVE YOU. You are so lovely, especially while I'm walking to college, you are so fresh and in fact you aren't even that cold and I end up walking without my coat on and it's so nice! Dear Art, You are so unbelievably stressful, I am so glad that the first project is over, so that I can have some time to relax. But I am rather proud of my final outcome for my project (which I'll make sure to share with everyone soon). Dear Lady Time, You were 2 weeks late and you have no idea how scary and stressful that is to deal with, but now that you have arrived, I detest you, seriously, why do you have to be so horrible and put me through so much pain! And I'll just add Dear Spots, go the hell away, I never break out in spots and now you've ruined my face! Dear My close and lovely Friends, I miss you all so much, you're all off at University being independent, having a great time and being stressed, while I'm here being stressed and playing Mummy to my siblings. Basically I can't wait until you all come back for Christmas! Dear Life, Please send me something wonderful, something that can distract me from stress and my everyday life, even a someone, preferably a someone, please.

 Hello lovely ladies of the blogging world!

I am still mostly absent from the blogging world because life is cruel and I'm still mourning over my laptop until it is resurrected with a new battery, as I'm writing this I am using the ultra slow family PC, I will just say it's so slow that I had to double click the Google Chrome icon about 20 times before it would even bring up one window, which is somewhat frustrating!

But anyways, yesterday I had my induction into the college gym, which wasn't as big I was thought it was going to be but it's awesome all the same! In fact I have renamed many of the machines, mostly to 'Child Birth' Machines, just because of the lovely positions you get to sit in, but when the time finally comes for me to one day give birth, I will be super ready...obviously. Anyways (again) the gym was awesome and I can't wait to actually start going once I go back after half term.

For most of my life, I've struggled with maintaining a consistent workout routine. I could never hold a workout routine for more than a month because of one reason or another. Lack of time. Fatigue. It's a hassle. All the excuses, I've said it - - a million times.

 

But, for the first time in my life, I've been able to keep up with a consistent workout routine (consistent being 4 days of exercise a week) - - and I've never felt better. Do I still have days when I just want to get into my jammies, turn on some Netflix, and not think of working out? Oh yeah. More often than I'd like to admit. What I realized about motivation is that it will have its ups and downs. It's a matter of tackling those motivation downs and picking yourself back up, over and over again. Below are my motivation tips that I want to share with you in hopes of helping you get off your butt and making it a habit. Working out isn't temporary, it's a lifestyle change.

 

1. Bring your favorite upbeat music. When I'm working out to a good beat, I tend to synchronize my exercises to the music and mentally tell myself "keep running until this song is over". Some of my favorites are Kanye West and Daft Punk.

 

6. Text a friend to provide you a numerical workout challenge. Recently, my friend challenged me to do 200 jumping jacks and 200 burpees. Did I do all 200 jumping jacks? Yes. The burpees? Not so much. But hey, it got my butt moving and that's the point!

 

7. Find some fitness blogs and follow along. On days when I am really lacking motivation and inspiration, I just pull up fitnessista.com or blogilates.com, and feel ready to go! This is great when I start to lack ideas on switching up my exercises.

 

8. Tweet your workout to your followers BEFORE you workout. When you share this with the public, you're more likely to hold yourself accountable to avoid looking like a fool.

 

9. Find gaps of time to fill in an exercise. At my day job, I have lots of time gaps in my day. To beat the boredom and work on my health, I have two 10lb dumbbells at my desk so I can do bicep curls and tricep extensions. I'm at work for 9 hours...surely, I can squeeze in some arm work :)

This is such good advice, luckily for me the gym already has great music playing all day, and oddly enough singing along actually helps me with me breathing when I'm working out. I'm definitely writing all of these tips into my phone so I can consistently remind myself of them and keep myself motivated!

Yeah, my laptop is slightly dead, which is a problem, so there may not be many/any blog posts until I can get a new battery and charger, because I won't block anyone else's computer up with all the images I need for here.

It is also a very big problem because all of my photos for my current art project are on there and I really need them and can't bloody get to them, so I'm sure you can imagine my frustration.

So until everything is sorted I'm very sorry *sad face*.
