Everyone loves a bit of washi tape, even my tutors at university love a bit of washi tape, we are always being encouraged to add some to our designs pages to "anchor" everything to the page. 

It's just so versatile, seriously, you can put it on almost anything, and now time and time again, I find myself on eBay trying to hunt down the prettiest tape for the best price, I can't seem to find any at my local craft stores. 

So eventually I gave in and bought some, therefore it is only appropriate that I share some inspiration about what I plan on covering my washi tape in.

So a couple of months ago, when I first got my lovely storage cube for my little office space, I had no where for bits of make-up and nail varnish, so I just had them kind of lined up, but that wasn't very productive in terms of storage and organising! Now, in the Marks and Spencers sale I saw a lovely gold painted bowl, but when I went back to buy it, it was gone! Dun Dun Duhhhh!

So I thought I'd come up with my own version:

You will need:

A couple of tubes of glitter, colour of your choice

PVA glue

A Bowl

A paintbrush (that you don't mind getting ruined

Came to about £4.50 total.

1.

Mix in your glitter into your PVA glue, how much you will need depends on the size of the bowl, I used about half of the bottle.

(I added water to my mixture, as this is what I used to do when I was little and making things, however I strongly suggest not adding any water, as it makes the mixture run and you end up doing about a thousand coats).

Start applying your glitter PVA mixture to the bowl, depending on how much glitter you put in, your mixture may look a little patchy.

3.

Allow to dry (I was rather impatient and got a hair dryer on it). 

4. 

Add another layer of mixture and allow to dry, repeat process until the dried version doesn't look quite so patchy.

5.

Once completely dried, fill with whatever you are trying to tidy away and Voila!

(Mine unfortunately came out a little patchy because I ran out of mixture, but I really love the effect.)

This bowl may be a very simple tutorial, but it adds a bit of sparkle to my cube, which is also filled with all my lovely expensive design books.

Ever since a little trip my Mum and I had to IKEA and I spotted some lovely Toile De Jouy bed sheets, I have been in love with the design. So she bought me a single cover for when I go to Uni. However, because I've moved in with my boyfriend, there isn't much need for a single sheet, but he did say that once I moved in I could have some pretty toile de jouy sheets for our bed, isn't he lovely, he's letting me make it all girly!

I love the design so much that I thought I would search the Pinterst world and find some gorgeous inspiration photos.

Luckily quite a few shops are now doing that design for bedsheets, because neither of us drive and we can't exactly walk to our "local" IKEA. They just do them cheapest, as far as I've seen anyway.

I have realised that it may be a little silly trying to decide what cushions I want when the living room doesn't really have a proper colour scheme and I can't really decided on one, because again it wouldn't be fair if it was ultra feminine.

But we were told about a marvelous website the other day called Design Seeds, which has loads of images with colour palettes attached. There are some really beautiful photos.

Because the sofa is brown I've had to try and find ones that I like that include brown, however lots of these had blues in, which is the colours I'd rather have for the bedroom, so I'm not sure if I'd want two blue rooms. I especially like fading tones, purr tones and berry blues

So for those of you who read my post yesterday, you will know I have moved in with my boyfriend and I am very excited about CUSHIONS!

But I can't quite decide what kind I want for the living room, so I've been looking all over the blog world for some lovely DIYs and I have found a few. 

If I don't use these for the living room there is definitely a couple I want to use for the bedroom (when I'm bought a new duvet set, which I have been promised...hint hint...nudge nudge!).

So when I can afford some fabric, and have convinced my boyfriend to let me have girly cushions I shall hopefully get started on home sewing projects, that I can share with you all if you want a new DIY.

So blog world, I have some exciting news... I've moved in with my boyfriend...well...pretty much, everything of mine that was at my Mum's is now at my boyfriends, as she's moving soon and it's far easier for me to live with my boyfriend...I feel like such a grown up. The dining room is currently a mess, we just plopped everything down when Mum brought it round and we've not had a chance to unpack properly! Argh, which I will have to do, because my sewing machine is currently living in the dining room and I can't be surrounded by mess when I'm sewing!

One of the very exciting things about moving in, besides the fact that I'm living with my lovely boyfriend, is that I'm actually allowed to decorate now! Yay!

One thing that I've wanted to do for ages is get cushions for the living room! Obviously they can't be too feminine as that isn't fair, but they must still be nice!

So I've been looking for some cushion inspiration on Pinterest!

Okay, most of these cushions are a little feminine, but I was just looking for some different styles that I like the look of, if anyone has any ideas or photos please let me know!

I can't believe Christmas is only a week away now, I feel so guilty for not spreading any Christmas cheer on the blogging world, but truth be known I have been far from jolly, getting all of my art project done for the deadline was very stressful!

But anyway, it's a week away now, so surely now I can only get more excited. And in order to inspire some of that excitement here are some photos from how Christmas looks in my life.

With Christmas only being a week away I really need to get a move on with my gifts, I've done all of my Christmas shopping (pretty much) but there are a few things I still need to make, oh gosh... as well as wrapping everything, and blooming hell that can be stressful, especially as I still need to buy some.

But for something a little more happy:

My favourite thing about Christmas,

Which is seeing all of the beautiful lights and decorations around towns and cities, it really transforms a place and makes it looks magical, I love just walking around amongst the lit up trees, as long as it's just frosty and not raining.

The decorations in L1 (liverpool one- the massive shopping area) are really extraordinary, they have massive "paper" chain style decorations hanging from the different levels and amazing cones with light effects so it looks like snow is falling out of them. And at the minute on the second floor they have an ice festivals of sorts, with an ice bar, ice slide, ice rink, and ice sculptures (which I haven't been able to see yet even though my friend made some of them, but whatever *sad face*), I'm sure there is more, but when I was where is was raining very heavily so we didn't get a chance to explore.
