Mini Dress #1

My little 6 year old sister came home a couple of weeks ago claiming she needed a wedding dress for her school play, because obviously every 6 year old has a wedding dress just lying around at home! As it happens we only got the note today saying she needed one, and the play is next Thursday, I'm sorry but that is just too short notice; unhappy sister here!
Anyway I finished her dress today, so thought I would share:

Her dress consists of a 6 piece bodice, a pleated skirt, a train (which is floor length on me), a waist band (which has a bow at the back) a zip and 5 little roses!
I also made a corsage headband to finish the look off.
Making this dress has definitely been a long process, I'd done odd bits and bobs on it over a couple of weeks; I wasn't feeling well enough to sit at my sewing machine and just go go go, especially as it's pretty bad for my back which has been acting up, although my friend cracked it for me last Sunday, which helped loads, but has worn off now *sad face*.
I hope my little sister appreciats my efforts, I can't imagine many of the other childrens' older sisters will be making their costumes, at least not one as elaborate as this.
I would just like to point out that my little sister has now been to "university" before me, is getting "married" before me and last night my Mum joked that I was going through the menopause; seriously where has my life gone?
