For a while now I've wanted to redecorate my bedroom, I mean, I love purple, but I'm only at home for another 10 months, so I might as well do it before I leave, so I can have it the way I want it, at least for a little bit.

And my colour of choice is Duck Egg Blue.

I already have my little tub of tester paint, however my wall is currently purple, so it'll need painting white first, which is what I shall be doing while everyone is reading this (providing that you actually read it on the day it's posted).

And unfortuantly I can't go get the big tub of paint until I get paid in two weeks (and I also need to buy christmas presents with that money, so painting may have to wait *sad face*. So for a while my room may be all boring and white, but I'll try and make it as exciting as possible and maybe go through some of my old rubbish and actually start to organise, instead of spending my entire Friday sat at the computer, on facebook, being bored. So today I am busy! Hell yeah!

 

Wish me luck, so that I don't accidently cover something valuable in white paint!

While exploring Pinterest I found some amazing architecture. I know the idea of these type of houses are completely insane, especially in England, especially at this time of year because you would freeze! But I love them!

They are so beautiful, I've always had a fantasy about living in the woods and although we don't have any proper wild animals in the UK anymore, I'd still be terrified that I'd be eaten by something. And the isolation would probably drive me crazy sometimes, but it's so tranquil. So as I can't live in one, maybe one day I can go on holiday and stay in a cabin or something. But it would have to be with a guy, and in autumn so we could cuddle up under a blanket, in front of a fire (I obviously haven't thought about this before...). But it's just such a cosy image and a really lovely trip, I should hope anyway. Or maybe I'll marry an amazing architect and he'll make us an awesome holiday home cabin/tree house thing. I think I may be slightly obsessed with these houses because I never had a tree house as a child, I really wanted one, I begged and begged by Dad, but we didn't have any big enough trees to put it in, so I never got one *sad face*.

 

Did anyone have a tree house as a child? If so, I will be extremely jealous of you!

 A couple of weeks ago we started our new project, which is called 'The Unexpected Guest', based on the current Liverpool Biennial, which is all honesty I didn't like very much, there were a couple of things that I liked, but I wasn't impressed by most of it and didn't find anyone who was relevant to my project.

For my project I've decided to look at Mental Illness, specifically Schizophrenia and Depression (only because these were the two mental illnesses we studied for A-level Psychology, so I already have a quite good knowledge of these).

 I think the piece of Lauren and the tears is really beautiful.

To develop these, I've done an extra collection of photos with words on the faces, but instead with more specific ideas, that's why I did symptoms of schizophrenia, if people are interested I can post them too at a slightly later date. (Just as a warning I look like a murderer in my next photo).

The piece of Esther has inspired lots of other ideas and my other work, I love the contrast of the colour on the black and white, I think it represents really well, again, the contrast between normality and insanity, the colour and the disorganisation of the lines show the confusion that can sufferers can experience, especially those with schizophrenia, as confused thoughts is one of the more obvious positive symptoms of schizophrenia (again if anyone is interested I can do a couple of posts about the aeightologies of depression and schizophrenia).

This project ends mid December, and then I get a nice Christmas break and get to see all my friends that are back from university, yay!!!

About a month ago (maybe) i was contacted about an amazing competition!

And guess when the deadline is? Well, it's at midnight tonight, ahhhhh, well done me, cutting it pretty close.

The competition is from Westfield London!

And basically what you have to do is put together your dream wardrobe on pinterest using the brands within the village at Westfield London and then blog about it, talking about your favourite pieces, your look and your statement handbag!

And the prize, oh my god, the prize is a designer handbag worth £700... seven hundred pounds, that is a lot of money!

For my outfit I didn't want to go to extremes and choose something that would be unwearable, so I've kind of just upgraded my usual style to luxury clothing! And you can probably tell, that if you've been on to my pinterest board, that my favourite brands have been Burberry and Gucci, they really do have some beautiful clothing, I can't even imagine earning enough money to be able to afford something from there! And unfortunately Chanel isn't included in the Village, otherwise I'm pretty sure my board would have been filled with their clothing.

So let's start with the amazing Versace handbag, first of all it's purple, yay, because purple is one of my favourite colours! It's big enough to carry all the millions of things that us women like to carry around in our handbags, and it has a lovely pattern, which makes it a little more visually interesting.

And as our outfits are meant to be based around our handbag choice, I wanted my outfit to be casual, so I've combined my bag with a traditional and sophisticated Burberry Trench Coat, so it is now my aim in life to own one of these trench coats, I can see myself putting it on and feeling unbelievably classy, sexy and ready to take on the world, because we all know that when you look good you feel extra amazing about yourself and lets not forget that these trench coats go with pretty much anything.

That's why I've put it with a feminine but practical Burberry Jumper and some sexy Gucci Jeans! Now I'm not nearly as skinny as that model, but I don't know why my legs wouldn't look good in a pair of Gucci Jeans, because they are Gucci Jeans!!! Also, also, also, look at those Prada shoes! They are some of the most exquisite shoes I have ever seen and how good would they look with those jeans, and the jumper and just everything. Okay, my style may not be the most "exciting" but I hope everyone thinks it's classy? Please.

On my board there are a couple a other handbags, skirts, trousers, tops, dresses etc. But one of my favourite pieces is an amazing red Burberry evening dress, it is beautiful, when you see it you will understand!

I really really really want to win this competition, it's such an amazing prize and it would be nice to have a little bit of luxury in my life, because I'm never going to be able to afford a handbag like that myself.
