Nude Floaty Vest| Primark| £4

I think these tops are such good value, and there are several different versions; jersey print versions, viscose print versions, plain with floaty trim versions, etc etc. I think they are great and yet this is the first one I've bought, but I wanted a nice light pretty top to wear on holiday and this top fit the bill, at least in our store we have a nude one, navy one, mint one, medium blue one and I'm pretty sure there is a black one. I got a size too big so that it would be really floaty and look great with skinny jeans and heels.

Black Slouchy Vest| Primark| £2

Yes, this a a future DIY, I'm sure it'll be very obvious when I drop the hint of the World Cup, but you shall have to wait to see the finished product. And for only £2 if it goes wrong I can just get another vest top. This vest is called a "slouchy vest" designed to be bigger and make of quite soft and comfortable fabric. Also great for holidays and hanging by the pool.

Set of 9 Earrings| Primark| £1.50

I've had my eye on this set of earrings for a while now, I love the simple shapes. I tend to usually leave my second lobe piercings empty, but when one got infected and started to close up I decided I should probably start wearing earrings in them, so the small circles, squares, triangles etc. look great, but simple.

Sunglasses| Primark| £1

These are fabulous, I had a pair of these before, however I somehow managed to lose them, I still have no idea where they are, I thought there were in my big handbag, no, then in my work locker, no, small handbag, no, bedroom, no. So for a quid, I just bought myself another pair. Last year I had some aviators, however I feel like I'm trying too hard to look cool with them on, and these slightly more vintage themed ones suit my face just as well, so thought I'd try them this year!

Rose Print High Waist Bottoms| ASDA George| £5

Since the beginning of May I've been looking for the perfect affordable bikini that will hide my many sins. So a high waisted bikini seemed like the perfect option. I tried many different websites and shops, but they were either too expensive or didn't fit, so eventually I started looking at supermarkets, and luckily they George had a couple of high waisted bottom options, however I was a little worried as they didn't look that high on the website image, however once I tried them on I discovered they are definitely waist high and hide my horrible red stretch marks; yay!

Rose Print Bikini Top| ASDA George| £8

I love the kind of vintage feel the print has, usually I would have gone for a darker colour, but I had to compromise and the cute little bow on the front reminds we very much of the 50's.

Accessory Hanger| Primark| £2

Have you ever had the problem where you put all of your jewellery in one box and every single one gets entangled with the others, well I definitely was, and I've got slightly back in to wearing necklaces so I though it would be a good idea to get them slightly organised, originally I was going to do it as a DIY, but the stuff I would have needed would cost more than this cool little do-dat. This accessory hanger also comes in black and is covered in a soft felt feel fabric and has 11 hooks, so you can get a fair amount of accessories on there. You can differ what accessories you put on there, I'm considering buying another one for my scarves, oh, decisions, decisions.

Anybody else found any good summer buys?

This is a DIY that I did last summer, but shortly after putting the photos on to my laptop and deleting them off of my camera, my laptop decided to die, so yeah... But nearly a year later I am finally posting it, hurray!

Now as some of you have probably gathered I like jewellery, really like jewellery, which is sad when my random little cute earrings get lost, but over time I have collected some rather lovely dangley earrings, so why not display them? Also it makes it a lot easier to just grab a pair in the morning when I'm in a rush!

So here is my:

Earring Holder D.I.Y

Before you start you will have to remove the glass and the backing panel (you aren't going to need them).

1.

Start by painting your frame, it doesn't have to be white, but I thought it would be a nice contrast to my black lace (it took me ages to find a frame like this that wasn't stupidly expensive)!

2.

You'll probably have to give it a couple of coats of paint to make sure it is completely white and to hide any brush marks (they are more obvious on the lower levels).

3.

Once it's all painted and dried, turn it over and place your lace over the top and cut it to the right size, make sure you leave enough lace at the edge of the open space to stick down the lace.

4.

Put a line of super glue/double sided sticky tape around the entire frame, making sure the lace will reach it when it's stuck down. (I used double sided sticky tape at first, and I would recommend the super glue; it will hold it a lot better, the tape may give way under the weight of the earrings, just be careful not to get the glue on your fingers).

5.

Let the glue dry and voila! You are done!

(Yes, that is a beer bottle- I like bottles).

This is obviously a rather easy D.I.Y, but it can take a while, mostly because you are literally waiting for paint to dry! You could always sit out in the garden on a nice sunny day and do it, it might speed up the process a little.

This of all I shall say that I have had to put this on auto-post, so I really hope it works. The reason for this is, this DIY is a bracelet I have made for a friend, which he is receiving today (Saturday), so on the slim chance he may actually check my blog I couldn't risk posting it on Friday; he knows he is getting a bracelet, he just doesn't know what it looks like and I know when this posts itself he won't be at home so he can't check, oh the genius!!! 

He asked me to make him a bracelet when he saw one I had made for myself from some scrap material I had after I made a skirt. I didn't think he'd want one that was quite so feminine, also this one is just a simple plait not a fishtail plait.

So anyway, here we go:

You will need:

1M of leather cord (your colour choice)

1M of leather cord (again, and again your choice of colour.

2M of coloured thread

A lighter

1- 

Tie a knot with all your threads included to create a loop. There is 2M of thread included because it's too thin on it's own so I doubled it over. Made sure the strands coming off the loop are the same length.

2- 

Split the strands so there is 3 on each side. Then start your fishtail.

If you don't know how to do a fishtail, I'll attempt to explain:

I've started it off a bit here, you will have 3 strands on each side, then starting with the left side, take the strand at the top and pull it over to the other side, keeping all the strands taut. 

  

4-

You then take the top piece from the right side and cross it over to the left side.

5- 

Carry on doing this until you've got to the length you want your bracelet.

6- 

Once you've have your desired length, tie a knot to seal the plait then tie a thicker knot that will be the stopper (type thing) to be put through the loop to create the bracelet. Then cut off the remaining thread/cord, then lightly burn the edges of the cut thread to stop from fraying. 

The reason these aren't cut off is because I still need to measure the bracelet against his wrist, so I'll be doing that at his house, then he can have his bracelet.

Voila 

It's simple really, but I'm rather proud of it; not as chunky as I wanted it to be, but the cord was limited; never mind.
