Have a Fashionable Halloween
18:00
With Halloween only 10 days away it would be an appropriate time to get a costume sorted, that is, if you're in need of a costume. But if we don't call it a costume, and decide to have a fashionable Halloween then really it's just an excuse for some new clothes!
I've put together some costume ideas that will have you look exceptionally Halloweeny while still looking sexy and ready for a great night out!
Velvet and Mesh Bodycon Dress | AX Paris | £35
Ankle Cuff Sandal Heel | Missguided | £30
ALDO Eterraven Drop Earrings | ASOS | £10
I really love this Vampire look, at the moment this has to be my favourite dress of the AW15 high street. It is genuinely upsetting that I don't have the cleavage to pull off this dress, or the tummy for that matter.
Anyway, this indulgent velvet dress with mesh inserts is the right mix of sexy and sophistication. The midi length means that you don't feel too exposed while showing off a bit of flesh through those mesh areas.
(Just a little warning the make-up tutorial link unfortunately doesn't link to the lips picture in the collage, but a great vampire diaries make up look).
Penny Plunge Frill Jumpsuit | Boohoo| £20
Silvia Fringed Heels | Public Desire | £29.99
Gold Tone Black Stone Choker | River Island | £5
This look is great and if you take away the cat make-up, it could be worn for a nice meal out where you are sure to be the most stylish girl in the restaurant! I love this jumpsuit as it has a little extra definition creating a really interesting silhouette! I thought the shoes were very appropriate as the fringing reminds me of fur! And what cat look would be complete without a cut little collar, this one courtesy of River Island.
Batwing Cape Bodycon Dress | AX Paris | £40
Over the Knee Lace-up Boots | Forever 21 | £35
Witch Hat Hair Clip | ASOS | £6
I love the cape on this dress, and if you decide to go for this look and don't spend a good portion of your time whooshing the cape around you then you aren't making the most of it! This dress paired with a over the knee lace up boots is sure to make you the sexiest witch around. And of course, the look isn't complete without a little witches hat and some seriously colourful make-up, I'm suspecting is inspired my the original Maleficent!
Stripe Front Tie Crop Top | Missguided | £22
Red Tulle Skirt | ASOS | £36
Fringed Heel Shoe Boot| ASOS | £50
Now I know there is some seriously scary clown make-up out there, and there are some people that go all out with their make-up, usually making their mouths useless, but if you don't want to go that far I found a great "gothic clown" tutorial, which is really beautiful. This overall Halloween look is slightly more feminine and maybe less scary, but you're sure to be the prettiest circus clown in this crop top and tulle skirt, showing off just the right amount of flesh.
And I seriously love these boots, and I promise you you'll be able to wear them time and time again, they'll look great with jeans, dresses or skirts, so you'll definitely get that £50 worth.
Missguided Skeleton Jumpsuit | ASOS | £25
Lilly Ankle Strappy High Heels | Simmi | £30
If you want a quick fix Halloween outfit, that you could reuse every year, there is this great misguided jumpsuit with a skeleton print. You could go the whole whamy and paint your hands white too as well as doing this great skeleton make-up! Missguided also go bodycon dresses, jumper etc. with skeleton print if you're not a jumpsuit person.
I picked these cute heels as all the straps remind me of all the different bones that run down your feet and toes, but I'll leave that analogy there, as talking about bones really creeps me out.
So remember, each day, live a little, laugh a little and love a little. ♥
