Beth Mac Designs: Shopping

Skinny Dip London {Wish List}

I remember when I went to London last February and when we were in the massive, and I mean MASSIVE Topshop, we saw these amazing cases, similar to the ones below that had beautiful glitter dancing beneath the surface, and I was abslutely heartbroken that there weren't any cases for my Iphone 5C. But nearly exactly a year later I found the wonderful website that creates these fabulous cases. I have completely fallen in love with these quirky designs and I just had to have one! So I've rounded up a couple of the super cute cases for you to browse. Some sale some full price, and of course you are welcome to go on the website and explore for yourself!

I used to have a case with the glitter trapped inside, but unfortunately an air bubble formed which just continued to grow and grow so I had to change my case. Which although I love them has put me off having another slightly. So when I picked my new case I was cost effective and picked one from the sale that I absolutely love! I love hearts, I love glitter and I LOVE MACAROONS! So if this isn't the perfect case for me I don't know what is!

I was also a little naughty and ordered a case for an Iphone 6, since that's what I am planning on getting when it's time for me to upgrade and I just couldn't cope not having this beautiful case! When my package arrived it was in an awesome shiny silver package, with a cute business card inside. The cases also come with a screen protector, which has made me realise how much I drop my phone! Oops!

Which one is your favourite?

Happy Valentines Day!

So remember, each day, live a little, laugh a little and love a little. ♥

A Little Bit of Shopping {06/06/14}

Holiday Style

Nude Floaty Vest| Primark| £4

I think these tops are such good value, and there are several different versions; jersey print versions, viscose print versions, plain with floaty trim versions, etc etc. I think they are great and yet this is the first one I've bought, but I wanted a nice light pretty top to wear on holiday and this top fit the bill, at least in our store we have a nude one, navy one, mint one, medium blue one and I'm pretty sure there is a black one. I got a size too big so that it would be really floaty and look great with skinny jeans and heels.

Black Slouchy Vest| Primark| £2

Yes, this a a future DIY, I'm sure it'll be very obvious when I drop the hint of the World Cup, but you shall have to wait to see the finished product. And for only £2 if it goes wrong I can just get another vest top. This vest is called a "slouchy vest" designed to be bigger and make of quite soft and comfortable fabric. Also great for holidays and hanging by the pool.

Set of 9 Earrings| Primark| £1.50

I've had my eye on this set of earrings for a while now, I love the simple shapes. I tend to usually leave my second lobe piercings empty, but when one got infected and started to close up I decided I should probably start wearing earrings in them, so the small circles, squares, triangles etc. look great, but simple.

Sunglasses| Primark| £1

These are fabulous, I had a pair of these before, however I somehow managed to lose them, I still have no idea where they are, I thought there were in my big handbag, no, then in my work locker, no, small handbag, no, bedroom, no. So for a quid, I just bought myself another pair. Last year I had some aviators, however I feel like I'm trying too hard to look cool with them on, and these slightly more vintage themed ones suit my face just as well, so thought I'd try them this year!

Rose Print High Waist Bottoms| ASDA George| £5

Since the beginning of May I've been looking for the perfect affordable bikini that will hide my many sins. So a high waisted bikini seemed like the perfect option. I tried many different websites and shops, but they were either too expensive or didn't fit, so eventually I started looking at supermarkets, and luckily they George had a couple of high waisted bottom options, however I was a little worried as they didn't look that high on the website image, however once I tried them on I discovered they are definitely waist high and hide my horrible red stretch marks; yay!

Rose Print Bikini Top| ASDA George| £8

I love the kind of vintage feel the print has, usually I would have gone for a darker colour, but I had to compromise and the cute little bow on the front reminds we very much of the 50's.

Accessory Hanger| Primark| £2

Have you ever had the problem where you put all of your jewellery in one box and every single one gets entangled with the others, well I definitely was, and I've got slightly back in to wearing necklaces so I though it would be a good idea to get them slightly organised, originally I was going to do it as a DIY, but the stuff I would have needed would cost more than this cool little do-dat. This accessory hanger also comes in black and is covered in a soft felt feel fabric and has 11 hooks, so you can get a fair amount of accessories on there. You can differ what accessories you put on there, I'm considering buying another one for my scarves, oh, decisions, decisions.

Anybody else found any good summer buys?

Clothes

"Fashions fade, style is eternal."

Did you ever have a piece of clothing that made you feel confident and pretty even on your worst day?

Ever since I started gaining weight I've found it harder and harder to feel good in my clothes, especially as I no longer fit in some of them, especially my jackets. I haven't had any new jackets in a very long time, and most were too heavy to be considered appropriate for summer, so I'd taken just to wearing my boyfriend's hoodies, I really really love wearing this hoodies but they didn't exactly go with my more "glamorous" outfits.

Leatherette Jacket| New Look| £23 (Originally £40)

I was absolutely over the moon to find this jacket, especially in the sale, I was prepared to spend around £30-35, for a nice jacket, so finding this at just over 40% off was wonderful. It wasn't originally the colour I wanted, but it did have the waterfall effect that I wanted, as well as having elastic in the arms, which is great as I often find the sleeves of jackets uncomfortable. The jacket is quite thin so I didn't realise until the next day that it has pockets, which is great, although the zips were a bit stiff, but I've managed to work that out now. This jacket goes with practically anything and I'm very much enjoying liking the clothes I'm wearing and knowing I actually look nice.

90's Dress| ASOS| £9.90 (Originally £16)

There are several things I love about this dress, the top three are; the colour, the cut and how it makes me feel. It's so comfy and it's great that the buttons are only for decoration so you never have the unfortunate incident where it's a little tight and you an see your skin/underwear through the gaps. One of the other reasons I feel great in this dress is, it's one of the only dresses that makes my boobs look like boobs and not just boobs, but good boobs, especially when worn with one of my heavenly lift bras from Primark. This dress comes in a couple of colours, I was torn between this colour and an oxblood red, however this one was cheaper, so I went with this one, along with a 10% off promotional code. This will definitely be one of my most worn dresses this summer.

The fact that I can still feel good about myself and my clothes has really given me some hope and motivation in terms of my diet and weight loss.

What are your special pieces of clothing?

And remember each day, live a little, laugh a little and love a little. ♥

A Little bit of Shopping {19/05/14}

Last week dare I say a little bit of shopping was done, so let's have a look shall we?

Black Bow Ballet Pumps| Primark| £6

Unfortauntly my nice expensive shoes from next are in need of repair, so while in work I had a little mission of finding a nice little pair black shoes that would be cute and comfy in the mean time. And I found these, they are wide fit as well as having some padding for the ball of your foot. However the padding deflated pretty quickly once you start wearing them, but it doesn't make them any less comfy.

Heavenly Lift White Bra| Primark| £5

These are my favourite bras from Primark, although they might not be the prettiest ones that give you a nice little lift (and believe me I need it), although I do have a floral one, which is currently my favourite bra. What I dislike about most Primark bras, especially the cheaper ones is the mesh that is used for the back of the bra, I find it really uncomfortable. However the fabric that the Heavenly Lift bras are made from is extremely soft and I find them incredibly comfy to wear. Big Thumbs up.

Stripy Oversized Top| New Look| £4 (in sale)

Once upon a time when I was skinnier I had a lovely stripy top from Topshop, which no longer fits nicely, and then I saw this and all I could think was I want it, I want it, so I got it, after all it was only £4, however if I had remembered correctly my old top wasn't that flattering on me, and neither is this one, but who doesn't like a good oversized top when they are trying to be comfy. In terms of styling though, it looks good with a pair of skinny jeans and a leather jacket or a nice plum/black/lace (basically anything) skater skirt. I think this top would look really nice with a pair of peachy pink skinny jeans, however that just isn't something I can pull off.

Neon Pocket Mirror| Primark| £1

When I work on the tills at work we have these bowls that are usually filled with some form of accessory, and one day there were these bright pink mirrors, and I wanted one, I wanted one so bad that I was devastated when I came into work two days later and they were gone. But when shopping with my Grandma I managed to find one, which she then bought for me (as well as the heavenly lift bra). Now, neon pink would not usually be my think, but I am strangley attracted to it, I also think it's better than the other pocket mirrors that Primark sell, as the casing seems to be a lot thicker so the mirror is less likely to break and it also has a little magnet to help keep it closed, I guess what of the good things about it being so bright is it'll be easy to find in my bag.

Has anyone else found any good bargains recently?

And remember each day, live a little, laugh a little and love a little. ♥
