Would You Like A Cushion?
14:00
One of my favourite features of a Moroccan room is floor cushions, they really aid a room in looking cosy, as well as adding more places to sit. So I was bought some material and told to make some big ass cushions, admittedly the fabric is not Moroccan at all, but the one of the main colours we chose for the room was turquoise, so this material enables us to incorporate more colours in other decorations. I've also found that most floor cushions tend to be square, however with the material that I had if I was going to make them square then they would have been some what smaller.
Nice places to sit around the little table. |
Hopefully this will show how big the cushions are |
Okay, so cushion/pillow covers are not particularly difficult to make, but I'm quite proud of these (they are the first cushions I've ever made) and I also sewed in poppers to make sure the pillows stay inside. So far each cushion has 3 pillows inside, but we think we might add a couple more to each just to make them that little bit puffier and a bit more comfy. I think the colours of the fabric suit the room quite nicely!
(The room is not yet finished.)
Is anyone else a fan of floor cushions as a room feature?
So remember, each day, live a little, laugh a little and love a little. ♥

That fabric is fabulous and I love all the turquoise!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? The way I remembered it in the shop was completely different, but this stuff worked well so it's alright.

It's amazing right, we just need to be careful not to over do it.

Thanks, we have to take them into the living room occasionally so we all have somewhere to sit for dinner, so they are very handy.
